Healing-Counseling
I am a 1996 Graduate of A Society of Souls (ASOS), a 4-year training for Integrated Kabbalistic Healers (IKH). We studied Kabbalah, the mystical path of Judaism as it relates to healing and spiritual development. Also included in our training was object relations psychology, energetic healing, and zen Buddhism which provides a foundation for non-dual healing. I was able to spend a total of 10 years in studies there including graduate courses, my own personal healing sessions, supervision, and serving as an assistant supervisor to other graduates.
I feel that all of the experience and training I have had contributes to and informs my work. Preceding my studies at A Society of Souls, I had received Reiki I and II degrees, and had been practicing reiki and massage therapy since 1982. In 1989 I entered the Barbara Brennan School of Healing for two years. There I received an in-depth training in psychology through Core Energetics, the aura and chakra systems, development of high sense perception, and energetic healing. Examining ourselves through their perspective and philosophy allowed a deep personal healing to take place for those of us enrolled. It was here that I took my personal growth work to a new level, from my on-going therapy, spiritual studies, and continued education in massage and healing modalites. I had been a life-long spiritual seeker and metaphysics enthusiast, fascinated with the larger picture as it relates to human suffering and the workings of the universe. I attended many spiritual courses over the years, was a member of the Theosophical Society, and was always looking for the Truth. I began in 1990 to be mentored and supervised by my teacher of 13 years, Jason Shulman, founder of A Society of Souls. He was also my personal healer during that time. I enrolled in the ASOS in 1993 as one of the first graduating class.
Over the course of my training and years of practice, I have developed an intimate relationship with the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, the diagram you see here overlaying the human body seated in a meditation above.
The “tree” is a living, dynamic template for wholeness which I have integrated into the consciousness of my body, mind and spirit. This allows me a greater and deeper insight into others’ struggles when working with them to achieve inner healing and overall wholeness. It also allows me to kinesthetically feel their state of being, determine a treatment plan, and transmit energetically the remedy they need to change old patterns and reclaim their life.
A session would involve an initial intake and in depth discussion of one’s life and taking a look at the struggles they are dealing with in the present moment. There is a healing energetic environment I hold in the session that is transmitted during the discussion as well as at the end of the session where the client is resting fully clothed on a table receiving hands-on-healing. The session can also take place over the phone. Both are equally effective, as energetic healing is not limited by space or time.
